The Indian Rupee (INR) opened at a low on Tuesday, at 3 paise down. It was valued at 64.53 against the US dollar (USD). INR had however increased by around 20 paise on Monday, which was at a two month high of 64.50 against the USD. The Reserve Bank of India, however, fixed the rate of euro and dollar at 77.1421 and 64.6948 respectively.
Portfolio investors had invested in shares on Monday in domestic equity markets worth close to Rs.108 crore.
