In what would be a relief for vehicle owners in the country, the price of petrol has dipped yet again, and as of today, costs Rs.75.97 per litre in the country’s capital, Delhi. The price of petrol was slashed by 40 paise, and in addition, the price of diesel was cut by 30-48 paise and now costs Rs.70.97 per litre in Delhi.
Over the last few months, the price of fuel (petrol and diesel) soared following Iran’s decision to tighten their exports and the standoff by the United States of America. However, following an agreement, Trump’s USA relaxed their stand against countries importing fuel from Iran. Currently, countries such as Turkey, Italy, United Arab Emirates, Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan and India are importing petrol and diesel from Iran.
Following the dip in fuel prices, in Mumbai, the cost of petrol is Rs.81.50 per litre and Rs.74.34 per litre is the cost of diesel.
