Palo Alto Networks appoints Nikesh Arora as its new CEO and Chairman, starting from 6 June 2018. The firm’s former CEO, Mark McLaughlin will be serving the company as its new Vice Chairman. It has been reported that Arora will be working in close association with the firm’s new Vice President Mark McLaughlin and the firm’s CTO and co-founder Nir Zuk.
Nikesh Arora has previously worked as the Chief Business Officer at Google and served as the president of SoftBank. He is known for taking financial risks and investment decisions such as plunking huge sums of money into international startups like Snapdeal, an online shopping website in India and Didi, a Chinese-based firm that offers ride-sharing cab services.
Palo Alto Networks is an American-based cybersecurity company and one of the pioneers in offering the best cybersecurity solutions to various firms across the globe. At present, it offers security services using artificial intelligence globally to 50,000 firms and has a skilled workforce of 5,000 employees.
