Having stamped their dominance in the Indian market, OYO is now launching its operations in Japan. In a joint venture with Yahoo and with the backing of Softbank Vision Fund and Softbank Corp, the CEO of Softbank Corp, Ken Miyauchi, said that the launch of OYO in Japan will bring in a completely new experience for tourism in Japan.
To consolidate their decision to start operation in Japan, the CEO of OYO, Ritesh Agarwal, said that Japan is one of the fastest growing tourism markets in Asia. He added by saying that OYO Hotels Japan will revolutionise the hospitality experience for both domestic and international travelers in the country. Currently, OYO has 1.4 lakh rooms across the globe and looks to tap into the United States of America as well in the coming months.
