In what would be a sigh of relief for IDBI Bank NRI (Non-Resident India) customers, the bank has rolled out a paperless facility to open an account. IDBI Bank has called it the NRI-Insta Online and the facility will be available in almost 40 countries across the globe, particularly the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) member countries.

With the NRI-Insta Online, Non-Resident Indians who wish to open an account with IDBI Bank do not have to submit physical copies of their KYC documents, as all the NRI customer has to do is to upload his/her KYC documents on the online portal of IDBI Bank for verification.
The NRI customer has to then choose the IDBI Bank branch that he/she wishes to have an account with and as soon as the documents have been verified, the account will be opened.
