Cognizant yesterday announced the acquisition of Advanced Technology Group (ATG), which is a provider of revenue and customer management consulting and implementation services that focus on the Salesforce platform. ATG will become a part of Cognizant’s Enterprise Application Services practice according to a report by the Economic Times.
According to a statement by Cognizant, the deal is most likely to close in the fourth quarter of the current fiscal year.
ATG is not the first company that Cognizant has acquired this year. The New Jersey-headquartered company recently agreed to purchase SaaSfocus, a consulting firm which specialises in digital transformation, for an undisclosed amount. The ATG-Cognizant deal is one of the other attempts made by Cognizant in its bid to expand its Salesforce Cloud consulting capabilities.
Advanced Technology Group was founded in the year 2000 and has helped companies plan and implement cloud-based Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) business technologies and processes. The company boasts of having the largest team of Contract Lifecycle Management (LCM), specialised Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ), and Billing practitioners for multiple technology platforms and has its delivery centers in Missouri, Kansas, Montana, and Ohio.
Cognizant is one of the leading professional services companies in the world and has transformed clients’ business, technology, and operating models for the digital era. The company is currently ranked 195 on the Fortune 500 list.
