Bharti AXA Life Insurance customers can now file claims using Whatsapp, making this the first instance of an insurance company in the country offering this facility.
Nominees/policyholders can submit claims through Whatsapp, with Bharti AXA Life hoping to simplify the process, making it hassle-free for everyone involved. The new offering could help the company provide prompt service, without making the customer run around to file a claim.
Under the new process, a customer looking to raise a claim through Whatsapp can do so by sending a message to the company on its Whatsapp number. Bharti AXA Life has a dedicated team which will have access to this number, with the team responding immediately.
The nominee can also upload all documents related to a claim, with the claim team providing a link to the same. The insurance company will directly communicate with the nominee through Whatsapp and will credit the amount (if the claim is valid) directly to the bank account.
According to a report by MoneyControl, the insurance company has already processed a number of claims through Whatsapp.
