Amazon launches flight-booking service with exciting offers

Amazon, the e-commerce major, has recently added the flight-booking service that allows individuals to book flights through the app or website and avail cashbacks for the transactions too. Amazon Prime subscribers get higher cashbacks than non-Prime users. The offer period, however, lasts only till May 31.

While Prime can get cashbacks up to Rs.2,000, non-Prime members can get cashbacks up to Rs.1,600.

Amazon Prime members can avail cashbacks from Rs.800 to Rs.2,000 and non-Prime members can get cashbacks from Rs.400 to Rs.1,600. The amount will be determined based on the cash value of the transaction including the price of the flight ticket. The company has said that there are low cancellation fees, transparent prices, and smooth cashback offers.

The new service that has been added in addition to the array of services Amazon already offers is handled by ClearTrip, a popular travel company in the country. The flight booking service is available only for domestic flights.

Amazon basically offers ClearTrip space on its platform to offer its services to the large customer base the company has created over a period of time. The app/website will generate an ID for each transaction that can be used by individuals as reference.

Last month, Amazon was in the news for the launch of a peer-to-peer payments facility built on the UPI platform. The facility, offered through Amazon Pay, is available for Android users currently.
